After passing away following a courageous fight against bile duct cancer on April 8, Blood Sweat and Heels star, author and fashionista Lauren “Daisy” Lewellyn was laid to rest earlier this week.

On Monday, friends and family gathered together in LA to celebrate the 36-year-old’s life. According to a guest who spoke to TheJasmineBrand.com, most guests paid their respects in pink or fuschia, and the star’s casket (which stayed closed) was pink. There was also a bevvy of floral arrangements and cakes with her image on them. Beyonce played during a photo montage, and many speakers shared the impact Lewellyn, a woman of strong faith, had on their life. According to the guest who spoke to TheJasmineBrand, that included her parents:

“There was a hilarious video tribute of some private and public videos of Daisy that took those in attendance from tears to laughter as her infectious joy overtook us all. Her doctor came and spoke and indicated how much courage and faith Daisy had that made her someone she will never forget. Her father Larry Lewellyn (attorney and minister) gave a moving tribute that garnered a standing ovation indicating how this was the last thing he needed to do for his baby. Lastly, in her own words on the day of her passing, she told her mother René,” I’m so very happy and so very blessed.”

Since her passing, her parents, Rene and Larry, have come out to thank her fans and friends for their love, support and prayers. And the family actually created a scholarship in Lewellyn’s honor at Howard University, her alma mater.

She will truly be missed.
