Melissa Etheridge’s ex Tammy Lynn Michaels said she and Melissa Etheridge had talked about ending their 9-year partnership but agreed not to make any moves before Etheridge got back home from her tour.
But Etheridge announced their divorce anyway, prompting Michaels to leave this bitter poem on her blog:
“Gentle waves/ no noise for awhile
or maybe gentle voices/and SMACK!!!!! FILE FOR DIVORCE!!!
even though we both promised, agreed, handshook, pinkyswore
no filing until after tour/in the fall…
Her broken promises told to me by headlines….
could you stop blind sighting me?/ Have a good concert.”
