I’ve taken one pole dancing class in my life, and with only myself to hold up, I still managed to struggle quite a bit.

So I have no problem admitting that I’m super envious of multitasking mommy, Ashley Wright. She’s the woman behind MsWrightsWay.com, where she spreads the message that it is “okay to be 100% committed to your child(ren) and loved ones. In doing so make sure that you take the time to give to yourself. Get your hair done, go to a game, practice the yoga, take the zumba class, because if you don’t continue to give to yourself you compromise the quality of care for others.”

She definitely hasn’t let all the responsibilities of motherhood stop her from practicing her pole dancing skills, and she has no problem taking her daughter, Shannon, along with her for the ride–during baby girl’s mealtime. And that’s why this video of her strong, shero self has everyone talking (link here for mobile users):

I’m still trying to perfect a simple handstand in yoga class, so I can’t even pretend like I can do anything like this. But the “Badass Breastfeeding, Babywearing, Attachment parenting, Pole dancing, Yogi Mama” is killing it. And before anybody tries to come for her talents and say it’s dangerous or inappropriate, Wright has fielded such criticism in the past for the video below, but as she said before, she’s “unapologetically herself.” (Link here for mobile users.)

“Many of us have been taught to try to control and shame others because we lack control of and shame self. And in controlling and shaming others we stifle not only the growth of the other being but also ourselves; caged.”

Deep. Honestly, when you stop trying to look at her pole dancing skills from a sexual standpoint (i.e., “stripper”) and focus on the fitness and strength of it all, it’s pretty amazing. To each their own.

What do you think of her talent?
