She may be one of the biggest pop acts of her time, but growing up in Michigan, Madonna was just one in a large family. The “Material Girl” has five siblings and two half-siblings but she’s not close to the family she once grew up with. Her brother Christopher Ciccone, who had worked as his famous sister’s backup dancer, tour director, and interior designer, wrote a salacious tell-all book in 2008 and dragged Madonna through the mud. The book put the nail in the coffin of their professional relationship.
