Like people, family comes in all shapes and sizes and with these celebrities, it seems as if the motto is the more the merrier because they have a lot of brothers and sisters.

Keenan Ivory Wayans

Few families are funnier than the Wayans. Brothers Keenan Ivory and Damon Wayans Jr. created the groundbreaking sketch comedy show “In Living Color,” which launched numerous careers. Several other Wayans siblings starred on the show: Kim, Shawn and Marlon. Although all of Keenan’s brother and sisters went into show business, the five other Wayans chose roles behind the scenes such as producers or writers. There’s been a second generation of Wayans that have followed into the family business including Damon Wayans, Jr.

Michael Jackson

Is there a more famous musical family than the Jacksons? Patriarch Joe Jackson was determined to turn his children and their talents into stars. He introduced five of his nine children to the world as the Jackson Five. But it would be little Michael Jackson that ended up stealing the spotlight and went on to become the biggest pop star on the planet. His sisters LaToya and Rebbie achieved some fame but baby of the family Janet would follow in her brother’s footsteps and became a star while she was still young.

Kim Kardashian

Nowadays, the typical all-American family is blended and it doesn’t get any more blended than Kim Kardashian’s family. Her mother Kris Jenner had four children with her first husband famed lawyer Robert Kardashian. After he passed away, she had two more with Olympian Bruce Jenner, who came into the marriage with two children of his own. The mega reality show star has expressed having more children with her husband Kanye West.

Toni Braxton

Toni Braxton has been in the music business since the early 90’s but little was known about her personal life and family until she starred alongside her siblings in “Braxton Family Values.” The show follows sisters Toni, Tamar, Trina, Towanda and Traci as they juggle sisterhood, family and work. Their mother Miss Evelyn frequently appears on the show and so does their father. But when their only brother Michael comes to town, all six siblings will get together at the same time.

Chris Rock

Chris Rock has always joked about how difficult it was growing up with seven other brothers with working class parents in his stand up routines. Rock’s upbringing was displayed on the sitcom “Everybody Hates Chris” but for the sake of Hollywood, there weren’t as many siblings on the show. The comedian has three brothers who are also in the entertainment industry. Rock has always credited his parents for raising such a large family during the crack era and not having any of them end up in jail.

Jurnee Smollett-Bell

Performing runs in the Smollett family. Jurnee Smollett-Bell is the fourth of six siblings and they all starred on the short-lived sitcom “On Our Own” together back in the mid 90’s. Jurnee also received critical acclaim for her role in “Eve’s Bayou” when she was just 10 years old. Most recently, she starred alongside Lance Gross in Tyler Perry’s “Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor.”

Shakira is both an only child and comes from a family with lots of siblings. That’s because the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer is the only child of her parents William Chadid and Nidia Ripoll. But her father William was a very busy man. He also had eight other children with his first wife.

She may be one of the biggest pop acts of her time, but growing up in Michigan, Madonna was just one in a large family. The “Material Girl” has five siblings and two half-siblings but she’s not close to the family she once grew up with. Her brother Christopher Ciccone, who had worked as his famous sister’s backup dancer, tour director, and interior designer, wrote a salacious tell-all book in 2008 and dragged Madonna through the mud. The book put the nail in the coffin of their professional relationship.

Laila Ali

Boxing legend Muhammad Ali had nine children, seven daughters and two sons. And not only does his youngest girl Laila Ali take after her father but she laced up her boxing gloves and followed him into the ring as well. Her record remains 24-0 with 21 knockouts. Since retiring from the sport, Ali has become a television personality and most recently joined the “CBS Dream Team” as part of the Saturday morning lineup.

Marc Anthony

Marc Anthony knows what it’s like to come from a big family. He’s the youngest out of eight siblings. And he must’ve enjoyed growing up with so many brothers and sisters because he’s making sure his children have enough siblings to lean on. The Latin crooner has five children and counting. He has one with an ex-girlfriend and two each with his two ex-wives including a set of twins with Jennifer Lopez.

America Ferrera

America Ferrera is best known for her leading role in the show “Ugly Betty.” The last of six children, Ferrera always knew she’d end up in front of the cameras. After appearing in school plays, a 15-year-old Ferrera began taking acting lessons. But back then she wasn’t too keen on her first name and instead preferred to be called by her middle name “Georgina” until she began acting professionally.

Stephen Colbert

After being 11th in line it must take a lot to get any type of attention and Stephen Colbert could surely relate. The late night funny man has 10 older brothers and sisters but tragedy struck their South Carolina household when Colbert was just ten years old. His father, a doctor and medical school dean, and two brothers were killed when their private plane crashed. The family had to move to a poorer neighborhood and Colbert struggled with the move and became detached. The future “Late Show” host didn’t get into comedy until he joined an improv group in college.

BeBe Winans

When most people think of gospel music, the Winans name will eventually come up. It started off with their parents Delores and David Winans, otherwise known as Mom and Pop Winans, who recorded together and separately. Their ten children followed in their footsteps in some way, shape or form. Most well known are BeBe & CeCe Winans and their older brothers Ronald, Marvin, Carvin and Michael who formed The Winans.

Mel Gibson

Not only does Mel Gibson come from a big family but he has one of his own as well. The “Lethal Weapon” star is six of 11 children and soon after he tied the knot to wife Robyn they got started on continuing the Gibson family name. During their 26-year marriage, they had one daughter and six sons together. Gibson also had a baby with his then girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva in 2009, whom he met on the red carpet that same year.

Alec Baldwin

Alec Baldwin always knew he wanted to be an actor and he studied his craft at NYU and earned an MFA. His three younger brothers William, Daniel and Stephen Baldwin have followed in his footsteps but they haven’t quite achieved the same level of success. William guest starred on “30 Rock” to play an actor that was set to play Jack Donaughy’s character, which was played by his brother Alec.
