During her chat with Oprah Winfrey, Raven-Symoné revealed quite a few things about herself, including the fact that she doesn’t want to be held back by labels (including calling herself “gay” or “African-American”). But one thing she was also open about is that she is in an “amazing” relationship with a woman, and she’s happy “with my partner.” So who is that partner? The very beautiful androgynous model, AzMarie Livingston it seems. Livingston recently called the actress her “#wcw & everyday.” You might not know her name, but I’m sure you’ve seen her face. Here are 10 cool things about the model and boo of Symoné.

You’ve probably seen her face on “America’s Next Top Model.”

She blew up in the public eye when taking part in “America’s Next Top Model: British Invasion” back in 2012. She placed ninth overall and was known for her elaborate ink and androgynous looks.

AzMarie later said that doing “ANTM” didn’t necessarily help her career:

As she told AfterEllen, “Being on ANTM didn’t really impact my modeling career. It actually kind of came to a halt. As for the show itself it helped me gain exposure around the world.”

She was dismissed from the show for refusing to take part in one booty-ful part of the competition:

Proudly known for being an androgynous model, Livingston wasn’t feeling it when Tyra Banks asked the models to wear butt-enhancing underwear to participate in a “Booty Tooch” competition. As she defiantly told Banks, “I’m not wearing mine. I draw a line with that.”

She’s known Raven since they were kids.

Earlier in the year, the model posted a “TBT” (throwback Thursday) picture on Instagram of herself and Symoné waaaay back in the day. She captioned it, “#TBT Me & SunRay As youngNs @ravensymonecp Yupp Long time”

Of course, her name isn’t really AzMarie.

As she told Chicago’s GoPride: “My parents gave me Ashley Marie Livingston so that is where AzMarie came from. I took the AZ and gave it a little edge with the look. I got the idea from a manager I had in New York at the time. He wanted to give me something that people would pick up on. Four of us on the show actually had the name Ashley. It worked out good that I had the name change.”

She’s a rapper…kinda:

Aside from modeling and acting here and there, AzMarie has also forayed into music. I guess you could call what she was doing a form of rapping. Her debut single was a track called “Morning Guarantee,” released back in 2012, which received some good and bad reviews from fans.

Her father is also gay:

According to an interview with Midtown Raleigh News, Livingston was raised by her single mom and her father, who was gay. She told the publication that her parents were able to get along very well and that they’ve remained “best friends.” He was also the first person she felt comfortable coming out to. “He laughed a bit when I told him. He was accepting of it because my dad himself is gay. So I knew I could come out to him first.”

She’s going to be on Lee Daniels’ show, “Empire”:

After doing some acting here and there, including on the show “DTLA,” and having a small role in Precious, Livingston has a role in Lee Daniels’ upcoming Fox show, “Empire,” starring Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson. She will play a character by the name of Chicken. Back in September she shared with her fans her excitement over shooting the new show.

“First day of shooting my character #Chicken on the new FOX network show #EMPIRE was incredible !! Watch out! It’s going down”

She started modeling at the age of 9:

She caught the modeling bug early, but took a break for a while after realizing that she wanted to focus on having a regular childhood. “I wanted to have a childhood. I got tattoos. I started cutting my hair at 16. I went through a phase and unconsciously created the image I have today.”

Her background is a little bit of everything:

As she told GoPride, “I am African American but my mother’s side has traces of German. My father has traces of Indian.”
