3. Myth: Only commitment-challenged people or nymphos choose polyamory. Fact: Many people legitimately have romantic feelings for more than one person at a time and find monogamy unnecessarily limiting. Choosing to live a polyamorous lifestyle doesn’t mean that a person needs to engage in promiscuity, it just means that someone chooses to have several relationships at one time and all involved are aware of the situation.
