Do I Know You? The Shadiest Celebrity Snubs

Not everyone plays nice in Hollywood. Are your favorite stars still friendly when no one’s there to see it? These celebrities have been shaded, shut down and outright ignored — and you won’t believe bye who.

Floyd Mayweather

At the BET Awards, Floyd tried to tap Tiny’s shoulder to give her a friendly “hello.” And Tiny gave him the side-eye brush off. It looked like Floyd was trying to extend an olive branch after his infamous fight with her husband, but it’s obviously too soon.

Charlie Sheen

Charlie was celebrating his girlfriend’s birthday at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica when they both spotted Rihanna at another table. Charlie sent a message for the three to have a meet and greet. Rihanna sent back a “nah” because there were too many paparazzi outside.

But when Charlie dragged Rihanna on Twitter, Ri said she didn’t even know that “old man” was there. Was this a snub, a publicity stunt, or simply a missed connection?

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West

Did Beyonce and Jay-Z really snub Kim and Kanye’s wedding? We’ve heard everything from “they don’t want to be on reality TV” to they “just wanted to spend a quiet Memorial Day weekend at home.” All we know is that when Kim and Kanye said “I do” Bey and Jay definitely weren’t there.

Melissa McCarthy

Not all Oscar snubs involve nominations. When it was time for Melissa McCarthy to find a dress for the Oscars, zero designers stepped forward. It’s customary for big names to provide dresses in exchange for publicity, but none of them wanted to offer anything plus-sized for Melissa.

But Melissa had the last laugh by going with designer Daniela Kurrle who now makes all her dresses and a big name for herself in the plus-sized clothing industry.

Tia Mowry

When Tia Mowry spotted Charlize Theron at her SoulCycle spin class, she thought nothing of saying “hi.” But all she got was ugliness in return:

“I said ‘Hi,’ and she actually rolled her eyes and said, ‘Oh my God.’”

Maybe Charlize was just having a bad day, but her ugly reaction has gone viral so fast, we’re sure she’ll respond.

Kim Kardashian

Kanye West says that he considers Anna Wintour a friend. So when the Vogue editor refused to put his fiancee on the cover of Vogue, Kanye took it personally. Anna stood her ground, but it’s apparently hard to say no to Kanye. Kim appeared on the April cover. Unfortunately, it ended up being a sales flop.

Kerry Washington

You can’t snub Black America’s favorite drama without a lot of backlash from Black Twitter. When Kerry Washington was passed over for Best Actress in a Drama for Claire Danes, Black Twitter exploded with comments so Scandal-ous they should be nominated for their own award.

Jamie Foxx

Not all celebrity snubs are what they seem. Jamie Foxx told Oprah that when he first arrived on the set of “Django Unchained,” Leo walked by him without even a backward glance. Jamie said he ventured a “What’s up, Leo?” and “He did not speak to me.”

What was really going on with Leo? Turns out it was a bit of method acting that was all Jamie’s idea. He wanted them to pretend that it was really “18-whatever” when those two wouldn’t be friends — like they are in real life.

K. Michelle

Anytime an artist doesn’t get nominated for a Grammy can feel like a snub. When K.Michelle found out she got 0 Grammy nominations while Tamar Braxton got three, she released this Tweet:

“Wow major Grammy snub. I guess a little black girl who truly speaks her mind was a little 2 much huh? Gotta work harder next year.”

Do you think K. Michelle was snubbed? Or should she get back to work like the Tweet says?

Chris Brown

GQ magazine proved that it wasn’t above clowning it’s readers when a Chris Brown fan asked, “Has Chris Brown ever been on the cover? And if not when will he be?” GQ responded, “Might be a while. It is Gentleman Quarterly, after all, not Ironically-Named-Magazine-That-Knowingly-Puts-Domestic-Abusers-On-Its-Cover-Quarterly.

Ouch.

Needless to say, the magazine’s funny response immediately went viral.

Damon Dash

Is any time a good time to talk business? When Damon Dash came up to Victoria Beckham’s table to turn her into an “American star,” a source at the restaurant says that Beckham gave him he brush off like he was selling knock-off Rolexs: “You could see she didn’t want to talk to him. She left shortly after he arrived.”

Beyonce

How do you snub someone who’s unstoppable? You don’t, really. When Amazon & Target tried to counter Beyonce’s sneak album drop by not carrying her CD, critics thought the snubs would hurt album sales. Not only did Beyonce rise above, but her sneak-released album broke sale records.

Walter Jackson

For someone who acted like Kenya Moore dragged him onto “Real Housewives of Atlanta” against his will, he sure was upset when RHOA didn’t invite him to the reunion show. When Walter found out, he released several Tweets shading RHOA, Kenya to anyone who would listen.

Black Actors in the UK

Apparently, we have racism in the UK to thank for the likes of Idris Elba and Chiwetel Ejiofor. Comedian Lenny Henry told MPs that black British actors are forced to work here because there’s just no work in the UK. Where do we send the thank you letter?

Stacy Keibler

Is Angelina Jolie a Hollywood mean girl? George Clooney and his girlfriend Stacy Keibler hitched a rid on Angelina’s private jet to the Palm Springs International Film Festival. And Angelina not only snubbed Stacy, she refused to even look her way.

An insider told US Weekly, “Angelina went out of her way to ignore her, from takeoff to landing. She would not even look Stacy’s way. She was not having it!”

Why so salty? Insiders say that it’s because Angelina just isn’t a “girl’s girl.”
