Instead of thanking Dr. Theresa Paper — president of Scott Community College — for organizing an event, Biden decided to express all his gratitude to a soda brand: Dr. Pepper. “Thank you, Dr. Pepper, and thank you, Chancell… Dr. Paper. And thank you, Chancellor,” Biden said at a 2012 campaign in Iowa. Dr. Pepper, without question, is thanking Biden back for all the free promotion.
