We have to applaud anyone who feels so strongly about their role in this world as a woman that they don’t let the fact that they entered it as a man stop them. Sophia’s character on this highly appraised prison show is sometimes the only stable, warm and sane presence in the midst of chaos. And she always has her hair done, to boot.
