Lt. Anita Van Buren starts out on “Law & Order” as a crime victim, but eventually climbed her way to being one of the top crime fighters in what was mostly a man’s world. Van Buren even has bragging rights for being the longest running character in the history of “Law & Order”—they just couldn’t get enough of her no-nonsense but somehow-still-warm character.
