While out promoting her newly released EP, Call Me Crazy, über talented songstress Sevyn Streeter stopped by Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club. During her visit, the “It Won’t Stop” singer spoke quite candidly about dating and relationship struggles that most of us are all too familiar with.
On taking shots at men via Twitter:
“You know what, Yee? Sometimes we be going through some things. I’m a writer so they shouldn’t have gave me Twitter. They shouldn’t have did that to me because I go through it and I’m like, ‘You know what this BAN’… Sometimes I do [subliminals]. I never mention names or anything like that.”
On having man problems:
“I won’t say I have man problems because I don’t have a man, so that’s not a problem for me. Man problems, no.”
On rumors that she broke up with her guy via Twitter:
“No, it wasn’t a breakup. I might’ve [been fed up and fed up with whomever I was dealing with]. Like I said, I just go through it sometimes and I tweet about it.”
On dating difficulties:
“Honestly, I think dating is hard. Period. It don’t matter what field you’re in. You can be a school teacher or do what we do, which is entertainment. I think it’s just hard period. As long as you can find two people who really want to make it work, I think that’s the key to it.”
On being heartbroken in the past:
“Of course, who hasn’t? I definitely have been.
On the Chris, Rihanna, Kaurreuche love triangle:
“I’m cool with her [Rihanna]. I don’t see her a lot, but when I do see her, we’re good. I’ve been out with her before and things like that, so we’re cool. And yeah, I am friends with Ruch [Karrueche]. Let me just say this, I’m like this with my brother, and my blood brother will tell you, I don’t really get too close to the girlfriends like that. I respect the relationship, but people break up and make up and I don’t wanna be the one that when y’all break up you call like, ‘So what did he say? How does he feel? ‘ I’m not in y’all relationship, so I don’t get in it. “
