Earlier today, we told you that Lamar Odom’s estranged father, Joe Odom, came forward to make some pretty heavy accusations against the Kardashian family. Lamar responded to his dad’s Kardashian rant via his Twitter page, insisting that his in-laws are the “only family” that ever “loved him” and blaming Joe for his “downfall.” In an interview with TMZ, Joe has since come forward to apologize for his comments, offer clarity for his statement and defend his sobriety. According to Joe, he has been clean for thirty years and also believes that his son, Lamar, is also drug free.

Yesterday Lamar Odom’s estranged father, Joe, came forward to talk about all of the drama currently surrounding his son. He went as far as to blame the Kardashians for ruining Lamar’s life and even implied that his son has been “cursed” ever since he married Khloe back in 2009.
“Someone’s got to speak out, I’ve got to do something about this. It’s simple. They brought him down. He would be better off without them. Let him go and get his life together. I think the best thing for him would be to have a clean break, divorce Khloe and as a single man try and get his life back together,” Joe told Radar Online.
He also had a few choice words to say about Kardashian matriarch, Kris Jenner.
“The mother has been talking a lot of trash about my son, saying he’s on drugs and stuff like that. She’s got something against my son, something against my family. Kris Jenner is very negative. She’s an evil b****. She doesn’t care about Lamar, she just cares about their image and money.”
When asked if the Kardashians are drug abusers, Joe responded:
“I blame Kris in particular, she’s been through a lot of stuff herself. She’s no Cinderella. I can’t really say if the Kardashians are doing drugs, but my son would never use hard drugs. I can’t pinpoint right now who’s giving it to him, but I’m going to investigate. The Kardashians haven’t been a good influence on my son.”
“They don’t give a f*** about my son. It’s more about the damage they do to the Kardashian brand. They brought him down. He’d be better off without them. Let him go, get his life together.”
He wasn’t very shy in expressing the way he feels about his daughter-in-law, Khloe, either.
“I wish he had never got married to Khloe to be honest. She’s controlling. Those Kardashian women all are. You get married they think they wear the pants. You just bring them your whole paycheck, that’s how it works.”
“I saw her totally differently when I heard the way she talked privately. It isn’t pleasant. In public she’s nice, but if you see her personally you see the real person come out of her. The mother’s like that too. The whole family, they put up an act.”
“They haven’t been a good influence on my son. It’s been the curse of his life. He hasn’t really accomplished anything since he’s been with them. Without them, he’d still be in the NBA playing basketball. He’d be playing for the Lakers and be one of the top players in the league.”
Joe also claims that Kim hasn’t been very nice either.
“I heard Kim say they don’t have crackheads in their family. That pissed me off. Look at where she came from. We don’t want porno stars in our family.”
“I love my son dearly, but my advice to him would be: Leave the drugs alone. If he is abusing drugs, he’s got to stay straight and get his life together. Go into rehab. If it is crack he is taking, he’s got to get help.”
Surprisingly, for the first time since his alleged drug abuse scandal made headlines, Lamar publicly addressed his struggles. In a statement shared via his Twitter page, the 33-year-old Queens native jumped to the defense of his in-laws and slammed his father for not being there to raise him.
“Won’t continue 2 speak on this but I have got 2 let this out real quick. I have let this man and many others get away with a lot of sh**. He wasn’t there 2 raise me. He was absent ALL of my life due to his own demons. My mother and grandmother raised me,” Lamar began.
