If you weren’t aware, Basketball Wives Miami premiered last night after being on break since spring of 2012. And while the last season (the fourth) was a myriad of bottle throwing, face-slapping, table jumping, purse-stealing bad behavior, this time around, it was a dull soap opera surrounding the aftermath of Evelyn Lozada’s altercation with her now ex-husband Chad Johnson. She’s seen getting ready to spill the beans in interviews and talking to her mother, her daughter and the other cast members about how she feels and whether or not she should go back to him.
Of course, out of all the major players in that dramatic saga, Chad Johnson was nowhere to be found on-camera (remember when they had their first date–and sex–on the show a few seasons ago?). For a while, the two looked like they might slowly but surely work things out, and they were even speaking lovey-dovey Spanish to one another across social media. But then Twitter drama ensued and folks were spilling their personal business to the world about who was really out here cheating. Last time we checked, Johnson and Lozada weren’t really on speaking terms. But last night during the premiere, he was saying that the show is losing steam, and at one point, he tried to imply that he wanted Lozada back (read each tweet from the bottom):
Always with the Twitter mind games in these streets. Surprisingly, it was Lozada’s daughter who came out and said during the show that she was never really a fan of Chad, and Evelyn shared her animosity towards the former footballer for his choice to supposedly not stick up for her (which entails him letting people know she didn’t do anything to warrant the headbutt). Tami of all people actually felt that Evelyn should “step out on faith” and give their relationship a second try. While we know that they haven’t patched things up, with these cryptic messages, who knows what Ev and Chad will be down for in the future… *shakes head*
What do you think of his comments? And what did you think of last night’s premiere?
