Khandi Alexander has played a medical examiner and a radio personality on television but none of those gigs were as memorable as her role in the Emmy-award winning HBO miniseries “The Corner.” The series was based on a nonfiction book that followed one family’s struggle to survive in the drug-addled Baltimore. Alexander played Francine Boyd, a drug addicted mother of two who fought to get clean.
