1. Pre-Packaged Lines

One way that a man talks himself out of having a chance with a woman is by offering up some generic line.  If it sounds like he’s said it a thousand times, he probably has. Women don’t like being number whatever in a long list of conquests.

2. Liar

“When I went to Italy, everybody thought I was Will Smith. I had to sign autographs everywhere I went. I didn’t have to spend any money.”

No.

3. The Verbal Resume

“Hi, I’m Mark. I have a bachelor’s degree from Morehouse and a master’s degree from Columbia. I’m a junior vice president at my brokerage firm.” Snooze.  Is this an interview or a first conversation with a potential mate? Resume highlights should not come before the dude asks the young lady’s name.

4. Dumb as Rocks

“How can Detroit be that old? Columbus didn’t get here until like 1892.”

Even if a woman has her mind on nothing more than a fling with a guy, a man who shows that he is not the brightest thing on earth can still get the boot. Ignorance is not cute. It’s funny and giggle-worthy, but not cute.

5. Too Much Too Soon

“When I saw you across the room just now, I wanted you to sit on my face.”

The sexiest guy around becomes immediately unHot if he throws all the blatant sexual advances out there in the first encounter.
