First comes baby, and then comes plenty of bills. Many celebrity dads will boast that there is nothing better and more delightful than having a baby girl or baby boy. However, some celebrities find that once the hype of a new child dies down, so do their child support checks. It’s not uncommon for a celebrity dad to have to pay child support, especially if the parents are not married or at least dating. Here are 13 famous dads — and one woman — who owe child support and are causing all sorts of baby drama.

Bow Wow

After retiring because he decided that he had accomplished everything in music, one would think that Bow Wow would be able to afford child support. But, earlier in 2013, Bow Wow went in front of the court and stated that he only had $1,500 in his bank account, and therefore couldn’t afford the monthly child support payments of $3,000. However, after his paycheck from “106 & Park” was revealed to the court, his whole stance changed, and it became clear that he can afford to pay what he owes.

Mel Gibson

You don’t hear about Mel Gibson in the news too often, but in the last few years his face became well associated with being a dead-beat dad. Gibson and his ex-girlfriend finally settled their custody battle in 2011, which resulted in an agreement to pay her $750,000 for child support, as well as the promise to continue paying for the mansion he bought for his ex and his daughter. Thankfully, the huge mess has since been relatively calm and out of the spotlight.

Chief Keef

If there is any child support case that is shocking, it’s Chief Keef’s. The rapper was recently sued for owing child support to a middle-school aged girl who he had a child with in 2011 at just 15. A court ruling determined that Chief Keef would have to pay $2,600 a month for child support, in combination with $500 for day care costs. He was also ordered to pay $10,400 in back child support.

Halle Berry

This list isn’t just for men! Not too long ago, Halle Berry got herself caught up in the child support web. Back in January 2012, a court ordered that she pay her ex-lover, Gabriel Aubry, $20,000 a month to support their daughter, Nahla, and he doesn’t even have custody of her!

Jermaine Dupri

Back in 2011, rapper and producer Jermaine Dupri found himself in a web of child support problems. Dupri decided that since he didn’t think that his daughter was really his, he didn’t have to pay child support. But, after a paternity test proved that he was the father, Dupri was ordered to pay $2,500 a month as well as an additional $7,500 for the emotional hardships that he caused his ex-girlfriend.

Allen Iverson

When it comes to money, Allen Iverson once had a lot of it, but the man is horrible at managing it. As if his financial woes could not get any worse due to his bad budgeting during his NBA career, after years of not paying child support, Iverson’s bank account was about to be drained even more. After arguing with his over the $40,000 he owed her for back child support, Iverson finally coughed up the money in order to avoid jail time.

Terrell Owens

Terrell Owens is another well-known celebrity athlete on the list that just can’t seem to manage his money wisely, despite having been paid more than $80 million during his career. After admitting that he had poor money management on the Dr. Phil Show, T.O. cried his alligator tears and stated that he couldn’t afford to pay his child support. After his admission, he had to do community service to pay in some form.

Levi Johnston

Levi Johnston bolstered into the limelight after having a baby with Sarah Palin’s daughter, Bristol. The couple seemed fine and well back in December 2008, but once the couple split, the true side of  their relationship came out. Levi apparently owed Bristol more than $38,000 in back child support after he didn’t make a single payment for almost two years. Claims came out that while Levi was making millions, he was blowing it on boats and guns.

Evander Holyfield

Evander Holyfield can throw some jabs and punches, but he’s definitely not in the ring for managing his money. Holyfield claims that he is in serious debt and can’t afford to pay most of his bills. In May 2013, the media leaked that Holyfield owes more than $327,858 in back child support. In the past, Holyfield was ordered to pay an ex-lover $500,000 for child support. Clearly he can’t escape this monster.

Bobby Brown

Throughout the years, Bobby Brown has had all sorts of problems when it comes to paying child support. Back in 2007, Brown went to jail after owing his ex-wife $20,000 in back child support but he only spent three days behind bars after a D.C. radio station bailed him out in exchange for several appearances and interviews. Brown has four children with four different women.

Dennis Rodman

Dennis Rodman is best known for his NBA career as well as his eccentric look, but in recent years, he’s also become known as another celebrity who doesn’t want to pay child support. In 2012 he made headlines when he was found to be in contempt of court, and he was then ordered to pay $500,000 in child support costs to his ex-wife. This number was a bit of a steal, considering that his ex-wife’s attorney voiced that Rodman actually owed about $850,000.

Flavor Flav

In May 2012, Flavor Flav was facing a possible 180 days in jail for failing to pay his ex-wife back child support that he owed for three of his seven children. A month later, Flav was able to dish out $25,000, but that was only a fraction of the $111,000 that he owed her. The rapper is now paying child support costs, with an added $1,200 each month.

Shawty Lo

Back child support landed Shawty Lo in jail back in January 2013. After failing to pay hundreds of thousands in child support, Shawty Lo had a warrant out for his arrest due to delinquent child support payments. But, for anyone who knows Shawty Lo, this shouldn’t have come as a surprise. The man has 11 children and 10 baby mamas. Hopefully his arrest serves as a lesson to wrap it up!

Val Kilmer

Val Kilmer, best known for his role in the movie Batman Forever, definitely isn’t a superhero when it comes to child support. Back in 2011, he had fallen behind on payments that he owed his ex-wife for the two children that they have together. Past agreements showed that he was paying $27,500 a month. To get the money she was owed, his ex-wife put a lien on Kilmer’s home.
