The Georgia peaches are back for season three of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Lisa Wu was kicked off for being too boring, so we have a couple new cast members, Phaedra and Cythnia (who we won’t really meet until episode two). The Atlanta cast is the most dramatic of the franchise and the premiere episode of the new season is wall to wall tomfoolery.
The highlight of the show is when NeNe is making fun of Dwight’s obvious nose job. That is too funny because NeNe has her old nose during the show’s taping but does in the one on one interview with her new nose. I liked her old nose better. What do you think?
Dwight is trying to get more (nose) face time on the show, so he’s stirring the pot by telling folks he put $30,000 into Sheree’s fashion show (I don’t believe that for one second) and that NeNe’s husband Greg borrowed $10,000 from him and hasn’t paid him back. I could believe the action, but not the amount.
Is it just me or is Greg extraordinarily shady? Dwight might be exaggerating on the amount of money involved in this so called “investment” or whatever, but Greg’s answers to NeNe’s questions are not reassuring. Greg is supposedly a real estate guy. What kind of investment did he convince Dwight to go into for $500 that has a $200 profit? It makes no sense whatsoever and I’m going to assume that NeNe had more questions that what is shown in that exchange. Months ago, probably during taping of this season, a recording of Greg came out saying some rather unflattering things about his wife and revealing some significant financial issues. I guess we’ll ge to that part in the next episode or two.
Anywho, NeNe acts the fool in public and literally backs Dwight up against a wall. Kinda sad to see her turn into this character. NeNe was my favorite housewife during the first season. She was fun, loud and full of laughter. Now she’s a big bully who courts drama.
As for the other “housewives:” Sheree wants to be an actress. Kim will still do or say absolutely anything for attention. Kandi is dating an NFL player who the blogs say lives with the mother of his new baby. High powered attorney Phaedra is pregnant, married to a Hot ex-con and seems to have an opinion on everything. Former model Cynthia is having anxiety about her upcoming wedding.
