Basketball Wives is in the midst of taping season two, so there are no new shows yet, but we have to wonder how much of this drama the cameras are catching on tape. Royce Reed recently called the cops on Dwight Howard (a.k.a. he who shall not be named on the show)  for a dispute about visitation and what she perceived as an unauthorized visit from Howard when he picked up their son from daycare without her knowledge.

Newly minted L.A. Laker Matt Barnes, fiancé of “ride or die” Gloria Govan, was arrested for domestic violence on September 8 according to CNN. The woman involved in the incident=–who is only described as someone Barnes lived with and had a “dating relationship with”– called 911, but Barnes intercepted the call and more scuffling ensued. The unnamed woman (people are speculating that it was his fiancée) was not arrested. Govan has issued a s statement saying that the charges against Barnes are false. Okay, so what the heck happened? Something happened.

“Basketball Wives” isn’t even back on yet and it’s more interesting than the “Real Housewives of DC.” I’m waiting for the day when there will be a “Baller Groupies” show or something to that effect.
