Paula Patton surprised everybody last Spring when she popped up with a new man and a new platinum blonde pixie cut. When she shared the first image of her new look on Instagram, the actress wrote, “So far, the saying about blondes is true.” But it looks like the 43-year-old is having fun experimenting with a new hue and more texture after stepping out with the coiled look above at the Moschino Spring/Summer 20 Menswear and Women’s Resort Collection show in California.

The mom of one actually first debuted her new curls at the American Film Institute’s 47th Life Achievement Award Gala Tribute To Denzel Washington in Hollywood last Thursday. Though light hints of last year’s blonde strands can still be seen throughout Paula’s overall chestnut hue, one thing’s for sure is the star is now embracing her natural curls, which we’ve never seen.

Based on this image of Patton seen out and about, it looks like she’s experimenting with finger curling or perm rods and then picking her curls out. There’s been no word of any new projects for Patton so I wouldn’t say this look is for a new role but rather the star trying something new for a couple of days. Should she stick with it?
