The thing about “Red Table Talk” is that it takes seemingly taboo topics among mothers, daughters and grandmothers and discusses them openly. They’ve covered everything from porn, betrayal, and now they’re getting ready to discuss polyamory and infidelity in relationships. Recently, Jada Pinkett Smith, the show’s creator and host sat down with Jimmy Kimmel to discuss the upcoming topic of polyamory. Interestingly enough, it was Willow’s idea.

See what she had to say below.

Jada: We have a really interesting show about polyamory. It’s a thruple. This particular group is two women and a man. But there’s all different kinds of polyamorous couples.

Jimmy Kimmel: And you’ll discuss this with your daughter and your mom?

Jada: Here’s the thing, it’s a thruple that Willow was actually following on Instagram. That’s how it all came to be. She became very curious about this whole polyamory thing.

Kimmel: You think she’s curious in a way that you might eventually have two in-law kids or four.

Jada: Listen, she’s 18. Who knows what’s going to go down.

It’ll certainly be interesting to watch that discussion happen. On an earlier episode of Red Table Talk, Willow said that she doesn’t believe monogamy as we typically define it, might not be for her.

“That feeling of ‘You’re my one and my only, there’s no else,’ for me, that would not work.”

Given the rumors about her own parents’ relationship being open, we’ll see what comes up when the family sits down with this thruple.

Along that same vein of sleeping with other people, the next episode of “Red Table Talk” will be about infidelity in relationships.

They’re keep ing the details of the episode close knit. In the trailer all we hear Jada says. “I’m asked a lot was there infidelity in your relationship with Will.”

On that episode, world renowned Belgian relationship expert Esther Perel will join the three generations of women. Jada thanks her for being instrumental in her marriage.
