We stan for a beautiful head of natural curls and Ari Lennox’s ‘fro is a work of art. So of course, we were all ears when the “Shea Butter Baby” singer dished on what products she’s using on her natural hair these days.
“I use shea butter, olive oil, Shea Moisture — the coconut hibiscus bottle,” she told Hot 107.9 in a recent interview. “A mix of that. If I want to do a slick bun, I’ll use Eco Style Gel even though it has fragrance in it. Oooh, scary. I’ll survive. I keep using it because it works.”
It’s no secret that the songwriter is obsessed with the video game The Sims 3. She frequently talks about her love for the life simulation platform in interviews as well as during performances. So of course, when asked about her gaming preferences, she was beside herself. Unsurprisingly, Ari’s sims almost always have a ‘fro.
“Usually my sim will have a nose like mine. Wide nostrils, chocolate skin, and big hair is preferably my dream sim.”
Currently, the singer’s sim of choice is a writer.
“My current sim is a professional author. This is a beautiful question. Thank you! She’s a professional author and currently, she’s making about a thousand dollars a week on her books. She’s a beginner so she’s kind of trash. but in a few weeks, she’s going to be making more.”
Ari loves the gaming platform so much that she revealed in an interview with Vice that she would opt to live in the fictional universe of The Sims if she could.
“It would probably be The Sims 3 because there are more cheat codes to the millions,” she gushed. “There are mad ways to have a baby and I’d be able to do my work while having a baby. And you can easily train your dog to sit, stay—in literally a week.”
