Foxy Brown is deemed one of the top femcees hailing from New York, so it was only right that Kandi Burruss invite her to perform during her ‘Welcome to the Dungeon Tour’ stop in the Big Apple. Brown’s performance was expected to be a highlight of the night but it turned out to be a disaster.
According to videos on social media, the Brooklyn spitter was booed off stage after performing her 1996 hit “I’ll Be.” In the videos, Brown was skipping over many of the words and wasn’t able to keep the energy high during her performance. Instead of hearing cheers, she was hit with boos from a less than impressed audience. Brown was then abruptly rushed off of the stage.
Burruss tried to change the mood by telling the crowd to “respect her girl” but it doesn’t seem like the crowd was trying to hear that. To make matter worse, the DJ decided to amp the crowd by playing hits from Brown’s arch nemesis, Lil’ Kim.
Foxy Brown has been missing from the spotlight since her 2001 album, Broken Silence. She re-appeared briefly in 2017 when she released a lackluster diss track taking shots at Remy Ma titled ‘Break’s Over.”
