Today is Tamisha Akbar’s birthday, or as the world knows her, Tami Roman. She shared a message on Instagram about how she feels beginning her 49th year of life, and the great changes she’s made and witnessed at this stage.
“There are things I miss about being younger – particularly the ability to do a split, hang out all night (I be sleepy AF by 2am), wake up without my lower back killing me and I wish I had the eyesight I had even five years ago… but that stuff feels pretty trivial,” she wrote on Wednesday.
“I’m happier than I’ve been at any time in my life these days,” she added. “I have amazing kids that I love with every inch of me, a loving dude, real friends, great business relationships and a flourishing career. I’ve been able to do good works, make a positive impact on others and have grown spiritually/emotionally/mentally. I am so thankful to have made it this far and look forward to what God does next!”
Amen, Tami! We’re also looking forward to what the beauty is going to do next…when it comes to her hair. The Bonnet Chronicles and Basketball Wives star has come a mighty long way from her early days on The Real World, and so has her look. She has worn her hair in a wide array of styles since we were introduced to her in the early ’90s, including short pixie cuts, big curls, bobs, braids and wigs in all sorts of colors and lengths.
We thought a great way to celebrate her born day would be by taking a look back at all the changes Tami has made to her strands over the years. Here’s to another year of life, as well as another year of bold tresses.
