In case you haven’t realized, Cardi B. is here to stay. The Bronx born star who has shot to fame from once recording funny videos on Instagram, opens up to Harper’s Bazaar on fame, family, and Offset. The shoot is a “fairy tale” editorial, with Cardi B. channeling everything from Rapunzel, to Cinderella forgetting her shoe at the stroke of midnight, to saving her own damn self on a horse, and even breathing fire.

The shoot is a high fashion editorial with an article that is honest, frank, and authentic…something we don’t often get from megastars. However, no matter how much fame Cardi B. seems to get, she remains down to earth. In the article, the writer states, “I’ve interviewed dozens of pop stars, and Cardi, despite the massive entourage and the bear-claw-like nails, seems the most normal.” However, this shoot is anything but. We’re playing into the fantasy.

In the above shot, Cardi B. is breathing fire, which could even be synonymous with her quick wit, where she schools people on politics and claps back on fans all in one breath. Here, she is wearing a red Balenciaga gown and white Balenciaga shoes. I love her Bulgari earrings.

In the above issue, she looks like Rapunzel with what I could only imagine being at least 22 feet (who has time for inches when you are Cardi B.?!) of hair. In the above shot, she looks angelic and princess like. She’s wearing a Chloe dress, earrings, and bracelets. Regarding her life today, she states, “I feel like my life is a fairy tale and I’m a princess – rags to riches, people trying to sabotage. Before, I cared about everything – relationship, gossip. Now I don’t feel like I have the time to please people. I don’t care about anything anymore – just my career and my kid. Well, I care about my career because of my money.”

In this Cinderella-like shot, Cardi B. is running at the stroke of midnight, but her time is far from up. Here she is pictured wearing a Vera Wang gown and Jimmy Choo shoes that we want to be like, “girl, don’t forget those!” The ring in the picture belongs to the star. Come on bling!

Cardi B. chose to post the editorial shot of her in a horse wearing a black Dolce & Gabbana dress, Cartier Paris Vintage ear clips, Van Cleef & Arpels cuffs and René Caovilla sandals. In this shot, she looks like she’s saving her own damn self. She gets open on whether or not she plans to take Offset not, stating, “I don’t think so,” as well as, “Who knows? You never know you can never tell.” When asked if family or friends influenced her decision to leave Offset she looked the writer straight in the eye and stated, “Nobody makes my decisions about my life but me.” Yes, girl.

She straight shooter is pictured in a pond like setting, holding a thin sword. She’s wearing an entire Vera Wang look.

This is by far one of my favorite editorials and covers for Cardi B. Pun intended…it’s fire. The star did the interview in a Bronx nail salon she’s been going to forever. It’s candid and depicts the star well. Check out the whole interview and more, here.
