It’s hard to believe that Aretha Franklin passed less than six months ago, however, her spirit lives on through her music. Her biggest hits were performed at a taped tribute dubbed, “Aretha! A Grammy Celebration For The Queen Of Soul.” The event took place on Sunday at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angels, CA. The special will air on March 10th, 2019.

The performance including a montage of Franklin with onscreen quotes remembering and celebrating the singer from people like former President Barack Obama, Quincy Jones, Willie Nelson, Barbra Streisand and more. There was a slew of stars in attendance whether it was Jennifer Hudson, who will be playing Franklin in her upcoming biopic, and also opened the celebration. Or Alicia Keys who commented to a reporter, “I’m blessed to be here.” Fantasia and Andra Day, along with Brandi Carlile and Alessia Cara sang “Natural Woman” together. Common sang a duet with Yolanda Adams, who sang “Young, Gifted and Black” and Common inserted a politically bold rap into the 1972 song.

It was a night of music and definitely a night of fashion. Click through our gallery to see what some of your favorite stars wore for the occasion.
