Burris Says He’s Been Encouraged for Mayoral Run
(ABC7Chicago.com) — Outgoing U.S. Senator Roland Burris says he is being encouraged to run for Chicago’s top office. Burris was one of many African Americans to appear at a public forum Saturday at Bethel A.M.E. church. The candidates met with an organization called Chicago Coalition for Mayor. The group is hoping to find a single consensus African American candidate.
