(Chicago Sun Times) — Her tenure as a top official in Cook County Board President Todd Stroger’s office was little more than seven months, but almost from the start Carla Oglesby was allegedly lining her pocket — and that of her pals.
From mid-February, when she was hired to be Stroger’s $120,000-a-year deputy chief of staff to her arrest and firing this week, authorities say Oglesby doled out $300,000 in taxpayer money for contract work that was never done.
