In advance of the release of his upcoming album, The New York Times, sat down with 1/3 of the Migos, Offset to discuss not only the new, more personal nature of his project, but also how he’s changed and grown as a man.
During the course of the interview, Offset’s mother, who was present for much of it, decided to share a little bit of a little-known fact about her rapper son.
In what was a slip, she shared that in an attempt to keep him out of trouble, she signed Offset up to be background dancers for both TLC and Whitney Houston. Recognizing that her son has a rep, she stopped herself from saying more. But the next day, Offset posted an image of himself with the late singer on his Instagram page.
And from there, the internet did their own work, locating the video for the 2002 song, “Whatchulookinat.”
Take a look at it below to see if you see Offset.
