(AJC) — A lot of people followed the story of a few months ago where the Atlanta Public School system would locate the new “Buckhead” high school, which is being built to deal with the expanding school population on the north side of Atlanta. No announcement has yet been made. APS has certain site criteria in determining what physical sites can and cannot work for a school.

Reading about recent deals in New York City (okay, it is a very different environment) and Charlotte (much closer to home), where schools bought existing, empty office buildings for the purpose of converting them to schools made me wonder – could APS try the same thing here?
