People have had a lot to say about the Basketball Wives reunion, which aired on Sunday, particularly about the absence of Jennifer Williams and the early exit of Tami Roman. After having a pretty rough back and forth with Evelyn Lozada, where the women threw jabs at each other’s fertility struggles, and after an awkward moment where Shaunie O’Neal said she couldn’t remember whether or not Tami said in the past that she couldn’t have anymore kids, Roman was done. She said goodbye to everyone, slipped into her flats midway through the show and headed home — presumably tired and done with the show for good. She did say before the reunion aired that she hadn’t even really been watching.

And while Williams has spoken out since the reunion, and the rest of the ladies live-tweeted certain aspects of it, Roman has been pretty quiet. That doesn’t mean she doesn’t have thoughts about the way things turned out, though.

When a fan decided to check on the 48-year-old Bonnet Chronicles star to see how she was faring after the show, she said she’s doing great — especially since she has a number of other opportunities on her plate.

Roman shared a similar sentiment when another fan accused her of seemingly turning her back on Basketball Wives.

“I enjoy doing the show. However I do have other opportunities that I have prayed for and God blessed me to have,” she wrote. “It wouldn’t behoove me to disrespect his grace. I’m in no way unappreciative of BBW, I’m just thankful & protective of all the opportunities outside of it. Hope this helps with clarity.”

As previously mentioned, Roman revealed that her own reality spin-off is on the way, and after the way she’s been portrayed on Basketball Wives, she’s ready to strike out on her own with it and show people another side of herself.

“I’m thankful that the spin-off is coming now because I get to show the many different facets and dimensions that aren’t actually seen on Basketball Wives,” she said. “You know I have this great guy, I have great children, I have a great career, I do a lot of philanthropy work, I’m involved socially in my community and outreach programs and I have an amazing blended family, and so it felt like the right time to do something like this.”
