The beauty trends found on the 2018 Emmy Awards red carpet was a mixture of classic, vintage hairstyles, bold, natural updos and light, dewy makeup looks. If I had to claim a beauty theme of the night, I’d say it was royalty. Each star showed their own interpretation of what it means to be regal. Styled from head to toe, these starlets did not come to play. Take a look at some of the beauty trends we loved at the Emmy Awards.

Wright’s soft and dewy makeup was done by makeup artist Tasha Brown. Get her glow by using Bare Minerals Barepro Glow Highlighter ($28 Bareminerals.com). The Fierce shade is perfect for brown skin.

Ashley Nicole Black

Speaking of highlights, can we get into Ashley Nicole Black’s color range? The writer and comedian opted for a simple updo that really showed off her bleach blonde streaks. She went for a bright orange lipstick to go with her yellow and gold dress. Achieve the look with Nars Audacious Lipstick in Geraldine Tangerine ($34, NarsCosmetics.com).
Regina King

Regina King wore her hair pulled back into long, natural ponytail. She kept her makeup light and allowed her neon green Christian Siriano dress do the talking. If you love a good nude lipstick like King’s, you can get the look with Dose of Color’s Brillo Lip Gloss ($17, Doseofcolors.com).
Issa Rae
