We Wish We Were Invited To Issa Rae’s Epic Emmy Yacht Party
Burgeoning TV mogul Issa Rae is nominated in the lead actress category at the Emmy Awards tonight, and to celebrate the magnificent achievement, the “Insecure” creator threw her second #YachtSh*t party.
The festivities featured some of Black Hollywood’s best and brightest, turning up in the name of #BlackExcellence.
Actress Tracee Ellis Ross captured a moment between her and Rae with the hashtag #BlackEmmyGirls.

Some of the Black nominees this year include: Donald Glover (Atlanta), Tiffany Haddish (SNL), Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us), Letitia Wright (Black Mirror), Regina King (Seven Seconds), Leslie Jones (SNL) and more.
Historic Emmy nominations for people of color definitely called for a LIT celebration.
Comedian Amanda Seales documented the activities on her own social media, captioning the moment with actor Keith Powers, actor Lil Rel, Tiffany Haddish and TV husbae Wade saying:
“And just like that, #yachtshit Part Deux has hit the sea, and back. It truly is a gift to have community within the Hollywood “community”. Check out my IG story to Experience the littyness 🙌🏾🔥🛥
Singer Jidenna, actress Yvonne Orji, and actor Kendrick Sampson, who plays Issa’s new bae Nathan, was also in the mix. “Awkward Black Girl” star and writer Sujata Day posted this epic moment:
