When asked about a rivalry between herself and Beyoncé in 2016 by Vogue, Rihanna made it clear that she wasn’t going to compare herself to anyone else because she knows she’s at her best when she’s being wholly herself.

“Here’s the deal. [The Internet] just get[s] so excited to feast on something that’s negative,” she said. “Something that’s competitive. Something that’s, you know, a rivalry. And that’s just not what I wake up to. Because I can only do me. And nobody else is going to be able to do that.”

With that in mind, the 30-year-old can openly support other women because she’s aware that doing so doesn’t take anything away from her. Plus, you can’t deny when your colleagues are killing it. This was evident when she was recorded jamming front row to Beyoncé during her lauded Coachella performance on Saturday night:

It was refreshing to see considering that there is always so much talk of beefs and rivalries between women in the industry, as though there can only be one star. This is never the case for men. But the truth is, it doesn’t help that some of the people mentioned in these type of conversations play into that belief and treat their counterparts as competition only. However, as Rih shows people, you can support other women on the rise and at their best and still be on top. Check out a few other times she fangirled and supported your faves.

Cardi B

After making her Coachella debut on Sunday, Cardi was congratulated by the Bajan bad gal.

Cardi also felt the love from the singer after she announced her pregnancy on Saturday Night Live.

H.E.R.

Rihanna posted a video of herself with singer H.E.R.’s track, “Focus” playing, and it ended up putting a lot of her fans on to the hit song.

“I was shocked but excited when I saw the video she made, which lowkey fits perfectly,” H.E.R. later said of the gesture. “I have always been a huge Rihanna fan, even did a cover to ‘Yeah, I Said It’ a few months ago. I am beyond humbled that she listens to my music. The fact that she posted it was surreal. God is great!”

Taraji P. Henson

An editorial shot of the Empire star left Rih Rih in awe of the actress.

Beyoncé

Rihanna was as hype as the rest of us when she found out that Beyoncé and Jay-Z were expecting twins, so she made sure to show love.

Toni Braxton

Rihanna actually commissioned the iconic singer to perform at her birthday soiree and let fans know she’d “finally met my fav!” Rih also playfully shaded Toni for dropping jaws on her big day.

Lil Kim

Rihanna is well aware of the fact that she can be as sexually free in her music as she has been due to the doors opened by artists like Lil Kim. So she made that clear in an interview with Vogue Paris, paying homage to the MC.

“Powerful, creative, without any taboos, Lil Kim has pushed the limits like no other black artist,” she said. “Her world is coloful, fun, pop, rich and coded. She has fun. I am happy to see a phenomenon like in my life.”

SZA

Not only did Rihanna and SZA collaborate on her 2016 album Anti for the track “Consideration,” but she allowed the star to perform with her on stage at the BRIT Awards. She also supported the success of SZA’s debut album, CTRL, by attending a last-minute celebration concert in New York back in October.

Nicki Minaj

We’re not sure if these two are as close these days, but years ago, Rihanna shared an image of the beautiful MC on her page to say that “#CaribbeanGirlzRunIt.” The two also collaborated on Minaj’s hit “Fly” from Pink Friday.

Teyana Taylor

Despite their war of words on Twitter back in 2013, Rihanna and Teyana Taylor were able to settle their issues. We don’t know how exactly, but Rih showed love to Taylor by sending her some footwear from her coveted Fenty by Puma line, which the dancer and singer clearly appreciated.

Cyntoia Brown

And what good is having a platform if you don’t use it to help others? Rihanna spoke out about the injustice of Cyntoia Brown’s incarceration, and her lawyer said the stance taken (which also put other celebrities on to the matter, including Kim Kardashian, whose legal team reached out to Brown’s lawyer) made a difference.

“We have been very, very surprised,” said Charles Bone, Brown’s attorney to ABC News. “The entire team, as well as Cyntoia, obviously had no idea that this was going to happen or why it happened, and she is very appreciative of the support from everyone. It is about her, but it’s also about the issues, and I think that’s what she feels strongly about. The issues of sex trafficking and sex slavery and juvenile justice all need a lot of attention throughout the world but especially here in Tennessee.”
