Y’all Messy! On Floyd Mayweather And His Baby Mama Drama: Who’s To Blame?
From The Grio
Earlier this month, boxer Floyd Mayweather was in the news for his (expected) triumph over boxing opponent Robert Guerrero. And last week, Mayweather, no stranger to attention seeking, made headlines again, but in a way he probably never expected.
On Mother’s Day, he paid a visit to his ex Josie Harris, who is mother to three of his four children. Harris has also appeared on the reality show Starter Wives Confidential exposing her ongoing “relationship” with Mayweather, and on May 1 Harris gave an interview to Yahoo sports explaining that they’ve had “one intimate encounter” since he served time for assaulting her in front of their children.
This is also despite Mayweather’s engagement to another woman, Shantel Jackson, who lives with Mayweather. Anyway, Mayweather and Harris — recently it seems – wound up in a bed together. As he slept, Harris snapped a picture of him that was posted to Instagram on Mother’s Day.
This, however, is not when things stop being crazy. Mayweather’s fiancee, who of course heard about the pictures, if not saw them, has not made a public statement about her fiancé being pictured in the bed with his ex. But she did offer a response, of sorts.
After Harris’s picture with Floyd surfaced, Jackson posted a mini-photo essay on Intsagram, documenting her life with Floyd. The images included a walk-in closet the size of a garage, a series of expensive designer bags displayed (and protected) like precious artifacts in a museum, and a vintage luxury vehicle. Media Takeout interpreted her images as a way of saying to Harris, “you may have his [p*nis], but I have his pockets.”

‘I Didn’t Like It, So It’s Off:’ 50 Cent Brags About Pulling The Plug On ‘Starter Wives Confidential’
Yesterday, we told you that TLC mysteriously decided to snatch reality show, Starter Wives Confidential off of the air, after releasing only three episodes. It didn’t take a rocket scientist to conclude that one of the famous exes of the women on the show probably had something to do with it, but the ex that came forward was a bit surprising. In case you haven’t been keeping up with Starter Wives Confidential, the mother of 50 Cent’s son, Shaniqua Tompkins was cut from the show during the first episode, after being caught up in some legal red tape. The way it was portrayed on the show, she signed a book deal with 50 a few years back, which prohibited her from divulging any information about him or their relationship on the show. This is why when it came to possible exes who could’ve had something to do with pulling the plug on the show, 50 was the last person to come to people’s minds. But, he shocked us all when he took to his Twitter page to taunt the ladies from the show and take credit for having a hand in its cancelation.
Cast member and ex of Floyd Mayweather, Josie Harris, clearly flustered with 50 chose to fight back, claiming that the actual cause of the cancelation was that the show’s ratings were too low.

It Was Fun While It Lasted: TLC Gives Reality Show, ‘Starter Wives Confidential’ The Axe
If you were a fan of TLC’s latest reality show, Starter Wives Confidential, you’ll be saddened to know that the network has decided to pull the plug on the rest of the season. While the exact reason why the show has been canceled hasn’t been revealed, it’s quite obvious that the exes of some of the ladies who appear on the show weren’t exactly thrilled about their dirty laundry being aired out once a week on national television. Not to fret though, the remaining episodes will be available on TLC’s website. The announcement was made by Funkmaster Flex’s ex-wife, Monica Joseph-Taylor via her blog, Mommy’s Dirty Little Secret. Check out her full statement below.
If you want to watch the remainder of episodes of Starter Wives Confidential you will have to go online to TLC.com.
Ask me why? ::Long pause::
Is it ratings? Is it a change in network direction…or all the outside drama?!
It’s no secret Starter Wives Confidential was plagued by legal inquiries and possible lawsuits from the beginning. Starting with Shanequa Tompkins being missing from all the episodes, her ex 50 cent allegedly had an agreement or contract with her of some sort that either prevented or made it difficult for her to partake in the show. I know before taping even began I was questioned about my posts relating to anyone connected with Lamar Odom. Luckily TLC had no control over what I do or can post so it became a non-issue. I never did find out who was putting pressure on them. Cut to the Lil Kim situation, one which I’m still confused about and can’t even confirm if there is a law suit.
Bringing a show with women of color to TLC we always knew was a challenge and I love that they believed in our stories and gave us a voice. A voice, honesty, love, a lot of drama, and a bit of ratchetness. (Usually required for any good reality show.)
I can only imagine there were a lot of people who were afraid what would come out on Starter Wives Confidential and as you saw from the first few episodes, the ladies were NOT holding back! Trust me it gets better and much juicier. But I digress. (I always wanted to say that in a post.)I want to say that from the very bottom of my soul the support and love from viewers was more amazing then I imagined. Even the haters felt our show was genuine. I love that personally I got to not only bond with 5 amazing women but was allowed to show that not all celebrity wives sit home, model, or are simpletons. For the first time people got to know who I really am, if even just a little bit.
So it SUCKS that you have to watch episodes online but it beeeez like that sometimes. But make sure you still log onto http://www.mommysdirtylittlesecret.com everyday for the latest news, gossip, and info (c’mon y’all know me by now, why pretend anymore #endlesspromotion #bossb**ch #keepitmovin #letmefinish)
P.S. I realize I didn’t answer why we are not being aired anymore…you will just have to judge for yourself. ::Closes the shades carefully as she writes and presses send::

While many will probably be relieved to hear the news that another ratchet reality show has been booted off of the air, I can’t help but feel a bit sad for a cast member like Tashera Simmons, who avoided drama and was just utilizing the show as a means of supporting her children.
What do you think of the show being pulled off of the air?

Messy, Messy: Josie Harris On Why She’s Still Sleeping With Floyd Mayweather Even Though He’s Engaged And Hit Her
Yeah, we didn’t understand that either so we went ahead and asked Josie about her confusing relationship with Floyd Mayweather at the “Starter Wives” premiere last week. Check out her explanation for still sleeping with her ex, who also happens to be engaged and out of jail after physically assaulting her. Thoughts?
Josie Harris On Dating After Floyd Mayweather: ‘I’m Waiting For Anybody To Enter As Soon As Possible’
One thing that’s for sure about Floyd Mayweather’s ex, Josie Harris, is she’s no Liza Morales. While Lamar Odom is all Liza’s ever known, Josie let it be known during the premiere screening of “Starter Wives” that she’s single and ways past ready to mingle. When we caught up with the cast member of the new TLC show, she had a lot to say about life after Floyd — and the things she learned from her relationship with him. Check out the interview.
Ready For Hollywood Exes 2.0? TLC Releases Trailer For New Reality Show ‘Starter Wives Confidential’
In case you were in need of another reality show to add to your rotation, TLC recently dropped a trailer for its upcoming reality show Starter Wives Confidential. If you recall, back in September we told you guys that the production of a show starring the exes of some entertainers whom most of us were quite familiar with was in the works. The show’s cast was said to include:
Zakia Baum: Ex-girlfriend of Jermaine “Maino” Coleman and mother of his son.
Cheryl Caruso: Ex-wife of mobster Phillip Caruso and mother of his two daughters.
Josie Harris: Ex-girlfriend of Floyd Mayweather and mother of his three children.
Monica Joseph-Taylor: soon to be ex-wife of Aston “Funkmaster Flex” Taylor and mother to his two children.
Tashera Simmons: Ex-wife of Earl “DMX” Simmons and mother of four of his children.
Liza Morales: Ex-girlfriend of Lamar Odom and mother of his three children.
Shaniqua Tompkins: Ex-girlfriend of Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and mother of his son.
The trailer depicts the women forming some sort of emotional support group as they bond over the struggles of single motherhood. Many seemed somewhat opposed to the show for pretty obvious and understandable reasons. We all realize that we don’t need another show depicting women in a negative light. Call me an optimist, but judging by the trailer, the show doesn’t look like it will necessarily fit into the drink-throwing, ratchet reality television mold that we’re used to. There appears to be a teeny tiny chance that it may go in a different direction.
Somewhere deep down inside, I’m hoping that this particular show will rise above current reality television standard and bring forth something positive. I’m hoping that instead of resorting to cattiness and bickering with one another after a couple of episodes, the ladies will rally around each other and positively represent single mothers. But again, this is reality television we’re talking about and I could be overly optimistic.
The show will premiere Tuesday, January 29th at 10 pm EST.
Check out the trailer on the next page and judge for yourselves. Will Starter Wives Confidential just be another ratchet reality show that negatively depicts Black women?
As Suspected, 50 Cent And Floyd Mayweather’s Baby Mamas Say They’re Wack In The Sack
Josie Harris is working on a book about her relationship with trash talking boxer Floyd Mayweather and from the interview she just did with 50 Cent’s baby mama Shaniqua Tompkins we can tell reflections on their time together will be nothing like what President Obama’s ex-girlfriends had to say about him. Both of these ladies were pretty hard on the fathers of their children, and probably rightfully so. Here are a few things they told mommysdirtylittlesecret.com about dating these ego maniacs.
Josie on her relationship with Floyd
“Floyd Mayweather Jr. is a d***. I have forgiven him, I’m over it. I did my s***. I’ve hit him over the head with a Tonka truck when I found out he was cheating on me. We had a pretty volatile relationship. Anyone who knows us, knows that. For him to put another ring on another chick’s finger, then come over to my house and try to control me and who I’m having sex with (C.J. Watson)… I mean that’s just him. She ain’t the only one that got a ring. He the ring master, there’s a couple people that got a ring. He’s just about that life. I didn’t deserve the abuse, my kids didn’t deserve to see that. We have gotten into to it before but what was most disturbing is that my son had to get help for me because had no idea how long it was going to last. Floyd’s b****-a**friend was watching the whole time as he put his hands on me, he even tried to block my kid from leaving.”
On how long their relationship was violent (Next month Floyd will start serving a 90-day jail sentence for a 2010 incident when he assaulted Josie in front of their kids after he saw texts from NBA player C.J. Watson in her phone.)
“It started from the beginning, not the very, very beginning but it escalated. We started feeling like we were each other’s possessions. If I wasn’t violent with him, I’d get violent with the b*****s.”
Whether Floyd is a good father
“I hate to say it but yes Floyd is a good dad. The kids love him and are in Vegas with him right now for the Cotto fight.”
Floyd’s sex game and whether she’d sleep with him again
He’s boring in bed.
“Yes, but only if he had a drink first. Sober Floyd is boring and I like to have fun in bed!”
On her upcoming book
“It’s a book about my relationship with Floyd, we’ve known each other and been together since we were 16. Our relationship was very passionate with an incredible love but it was volatile. We tried running each other over with cars, pulling guns on each other… Crazy s***! We were extremely possessive of each other and I tell it ALL in the book! I’m finally in a better place where I can talk about it.”
Shaniqua is the mother of 50 Cent’s 15-year-old son, Marquise, and she had some interesting things to say about her past with the Queens rapper.
Her relationship with 50
It has its ups and downs. It’s a hard relationship to explain. He’s a bitter man, very bitter.
On whether she sued him for $50 million
“I didn’t sue him, he took me to court for child support, he sued me for defamation of character. The only time I tried to sue him is when he tried to evict me and his son from our home, the home he promised to give me.”
If 50 has ever been violent with her
“Yes. When he put his hands on me in front of my daughter is when I knew the relationship was over. I’d never fight any of the girls he was messing around behind my back with though. Hoes are going to be hoes. I did have to call Meagan Good once. She claimed 50 was just a friend and he was helping her to get over a break up. She played her part well, as a good mistress does.”
Whether 50 is a good father
“50 is a good provider, but a good father? No. He hasn’t been to one of his son’s games. In fact, the last time he saw his son was December. When we were together he helped raise my daughter along with our son, but when we were finally over it all stopped. He was no longer a father to his son. He thinks financially providing equates to being a dad, but it doesn’t.”
Thoughts on 50 Cent and Chelsea Handler
“50 is a bully, but he’s afraid of Chelsea, she’s bigger than him. As for him in bed…he’s okay.”
Whether she’d sleep with 50 again
“No, he’s hard enough to get rid of, that would just make it worse.”
Truly I think these ladies’ kids are too old and their relationships too far gone for them to still be talking stuff and airing their dirty laundry to the public but because these men are so arrogant and full of themselves, it’s a little refreshing to see somebody tell the truth about them (maybe, sorta kinda.)
