See The Workouts Responsible For Leslie Jones’s Emmys Glow Up

Last year, funny lady Leslie Jones shared that through changes in her habits and in her diet (specifically her sweet tooth), she was able to shed 40 pounds within a year. It all started when she started walking to dinner with Saturday Night Live co-star Kate McKinnon instead of driving. Before she knew it, she was working out more and eating a lot better.

“Every time we went to dinner she would make me walk to dinner, we would walk after dinner,” she said on Live With Kelly. “And then it just started becoming – I would work out, I would do yoga, I really tried to watch what I eat. It’s not always easy because I do have a sweet tooth that’s a killer. But I do the best that I can.”

And after shedding 40 pounds, you would think the 50-year-old star would feel like she’s done enough. But instead, Jones has been keeping up with her workouts, putting in work almost daily it seems these days. Her hard work is definitely paying off, because she looked absolutely stunning at the Emmys last night:

She’s come a long way from not being able to find someone to dress her for award shows to turning heads on the red carpet in lavish gown at them. And it doesn’t hurt that she has a killer body to fill them out.
