A lot of fans were perturbed when Kanye snatched Taylor Swift’s award at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, but it took Yeezy’s marrying of Kim Kardashian and the vocal transformation that accompanied that union to cause many to truly fall out of musical love with the man who once declared “George Bush doesn’t care about Black people.” And even still a number of fans held on tight for the sake of the pure musical genius of the rapper and producer, but 2,345 Twitter rants and an overly publicized meeting with Donald Trump later, many have forgotten Kanye was ever actually likable.
