It’s not so much spousal support as it is child support. Sherri Shepherd was ordered to pay ex-husband Lamar Sally $4,100 a month in child support, which increases to $4,600 each month when their son via surrogate turns 13. Shepherd tried to fight the responsibility of paying child support by claiming Sally had defrauded her by convincing her to get a surrogate, have a baby and then divorce her to collect child support. A judge disagreed.
