When this photo (above) of former Baldwin Hills star Moriah Johnson spread across the Internet recently, everyone was saying, “Well damn! He’s grown up nicely.” In case you forgot what he looked like before:
Again, here is a recent pic:
Talk about an upgrade! Yes, the young people, and kids, we used to watch on television are all grown up, in and out of college, with children, new careers, and in some instances, lives far away from the spotlight. After all the buzz surrounding Moriah’s good looks all these years later, I thought it would be nice to do a throwback Thursday “Where Are They Now?” and catch up with throwback childhood stars (not the usual batch from waaaaay back) to see what they’re looking like nowadays. Care to take a look?
If you watched Baldwin Hills, then I’m sure you remember Gerren Taylor, who was Moriah Johnson’s love interest on the show. The former model is still gorgeous, and these days, she’s taking on motherhood (mommy of one) and looking great while doing so.
Remember little Nikki from Holiday Heart? Well, she’s a beautiful singer in a band called James Davis, and they’re signed to Motown. How cute is she?!
How about Janie Gibbs from Harriet the Spy? Here is the Guyanese beauty today.
Speaking of adorable kids movies, little Lavender from Matilda is not so little anymore:
And yes, people are still out here calling Dante Basco “Rufio” (from Hook) all over his Instagram page. Can you believe he is 40 now?! Who else used to have a crush on him?
Check out Nicky Banks from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air! He’s far from being little Nicky these days, and he has a child of his own.
Franklin Aloysius Mumford is no longer the piano-loving kid from My Wife and Kids that we remember. Nowadays, Noah Gray-Cabey has traded tickling the ivories in for some weights:
And Cabey’s on-screen girlfriend, Kady, (played by Parker McKenna Posey) is all grown up too. Showing off her curves, drinking flat tummy tea, you know, doing all the things young folks do on Instagram nowadays…
Remember Mark Cooper’s next door neighbor, Tyler? He was Raven-Symoné’s character’s (Nicole) best friend on Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper. He’s still acting here and there, and this is what he’s looking like these days:
Any throwback One on One fans out there? Remember Brianna’s best friend, Spirit? She was a colorful character, the daughter of two hippies. She’s colorful in real life too, and still a beauty!
