When dominatrix comes to mind, one may think of the quintessential couple who frisks each other with whips and handcuffs while wearing pleather. However, there are sex workers who have made a career out of the fetish and interestingly enough spearheaded a new form of domination.
One of these women is Daisy Ducati. Ducati, a 25-year-old porn star and dominatrix who specializes in “fin domming.” Fin domming is known as the practice of financially controlling a client. In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Ducati revealed how she got her start in fin domming and what her family thinks of her working in the latest sex craze.
Ducati was originally a fashion model who eventually became a fetish model. The latter opened the door for Ducati to be trained as a dominatrix while she completed her undergraduate degree in communications. After she graduated, Ducati entered the porn industry and became a stripper, one of the leading professions of financial domination. However, Ducati revealed to Cosmopolitan that fin domming doesn’t require the dominatrix to take off their clothes or provide a performance for those paying them. She told Cosmopolitan, “Sometimes people don’t even buy the champagne rooms, they don’t even get the time, they just give you money because you exist and you’re pretty. And it’s not about tricking people or manipulating them — it’s just that they want to give you the money. Most of these people, they come in with that particular fetish, and they want to spoil pretty girls.”
Ducati continued by noting the different brands of financial domination there are. “Some people are more of the bratty style and some people are the b–ch that just yells at you. It really depends. My personal style is a little more friendly. I like to pick on people, but I don’t feel like I’m taking advantage of people.”
Ducati also noted that she doesn’t ask her clients for money. Instead, she says, they purchase her gifts or some send her cash anonymously. “Right now I have four or five [regular clients]. How much money you can make really depends. Sometimes it’s just as simple as a gift, like they’ll send me shoes. Sometimes they send me a couple hundred dollars, sometimes a couple thousand.”
Ducati concluded in her Cosmopolitan interview that the difference between financial domination and other paid-sex sessions is the latter fulfills a fantasy for clients whereas fin domming is about the client giving you money because they know it will make you happy. Ducati also claims there are many who have a money-spending fetish but may not actually follow through with sending the funds. For example, Ducati shared, there are clients who rather masturbate to talking about sending money but actually never send any. Despite this, Ducati claims most clients are men of their word and can be very loyal. She also stated clients can become competitive with one another if they find out what each other have gifted her. Ducati usually gives her clients personal shout-outs on social media when she receives their money or gifts.
Although social media helps rev up friendly competition between her clients, other financial dominators may try to steal them away from her, when she shares their social media contact information. Since her clients are not under contract to stay with her, Ducati doesn’t care if they move on to someone else. Instead, she focuses on the number one successful skill of being a financial dominator: confidence. Through it, Ducati retains clientele because they don’t feel like she is pandering them for money. While Ducati is growing her fin domming brand, she notes that her family is proud of her and happy she makes a good living out of her occupations.
