During this season of “Love & Hip Hop Hollywood,” Omarion and his girlfriend Apryl’s discussion about getting their son, Megaa, circumcised led to a conversation about Omari having the procedure done as well. As it turns out, he decided to follow through with it. In a recent interview with Hot 97, the former boy band member opened up about his experience and also, when he and Apryl plan to tie the knot. Check out some highlights from his interview below.
On getting circumcised:
“I don’t have any problems in that area. I’m swangin’. And, I am not a part of that club anymore. I used to be a part of the turtleneck club.”
On if he did it for himself or Apryl:
“A little bit of both. I just had my child. I got him circumcised. I got to see that process and I was like well, if my son can do that I can do it too because I am in the other club…the non-fun size club. So sometimes, when I’m giving the power thrust, you know that hurts. Baby be like, ‘Hey, hold on.'”
On the procedure:

“I got some anesthesia. They numbed the whole area. I didn’t want to see it. I didn’t want to see the process.”
On having a baby with Apryl:
“We didn’t plan it but you know, me and my lady, we unconventional that way.”
On getting married:
“I feel like we’re a lot more married than married couples. I know [Apryl] does [want to get married], but I think that there will come a time for that when we’re ready. No pressure. We have a child together, we’re stuck. We’re stuck together for life.”
On his reality TV experience:
“It’s interesting man. I’ll say that I’m happy that they kept their word. I did have some preconceived notions in the beginning like, ‘Okay, well I want to cultivate my story the way that I see fit. If I commit, are y’all going to throw me in the room with this guy I don’t really know and then I’m telling him my life story and he’s giving me bad advice and we both look like dummies?’ I’m happy with the outcome.”
