As K. Michelle put it, “I’m the black Taylor Swift.” According to the singer, who is currently getting the word out about her new show “My Life” and upcoming album “Anybody Wanna Buy A Heart,” she won’t date anyone who doesn’t inspire her creative process, so if she gets involved with you, at some point, a song will be written about you. Now, whether it’s good or bad is up to the man and how he treats K…

In a previous interview with Necole Bitchie, K. Michelle let the cat out of the bag about inadvertently being a side chick for Idris Elba. She didn’t flat out say that she was, but she wouldn’t say that she wasn’t talking about him either. in a new chat with Necole, K talked about her new album, specifically a song called “Maybe I Should Call.” The song, which is actually pretty good, includes lyrics like this:

“Long distance in the way of what could be/ even when you’re here, you’re not with me/she’s having the child I should’ve carried/I’ll be damned if y’all get married”

So what’s the deal?

‘”Maybe I Should Call,’ tells a true story about what I was going through the past eight, nine months.  That’s a favorite, just from the snippets [and] we recently shot a video for [it.]   The whole album is about one particular person and I think that [although] people don’t want to be heartbroken, I really thank God for this heartbreak because I wouldn’t have had these songs. So, I just wonder who the next man is gonna be before the next album, because if I don’t find one to break my heart, we all in trouble [laughs].”

After playing the song, K continued:

“He is probably somewhere mad as sh*t. I sent all of these records to him first and he emailed me back and texted me back and said, ‘This is art! I’m so sad this is where we are.’ Sh*t I ain’t that sad. It’s a sad situation but I got records from it.”

But when Necole finally asked her straight up whether or not she was talking about Idris Elba, a cat seemed to have jumped on her tongue.

“Um…well, I think for me when you like somebody, you know, I write songs. I do whatever. I”ve been very protective of certain things and situations…you just got me [laughs]. But you know what? I can honestly say, I really respect him and our situation. And I’ll always love him. And that’s it and that’s all I’m going to say.”

Who else is yearning for Idris to actually speak on this?! Check out K and Necole’s chat below:
