Wait, When Did That Come Out? Artists Whose Albums Flopped. Terribly.

“Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse”

No one has a voice quite like Mariah Carey. She released her debut album in the 90’s and since then she’s gone on to sell more than 200 million albums worldwide, becoming one of the highest selling artists of all time. But her last album didn’t fare as well as others. Carey has been working on “Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse” since 2011 and she originally partnered with longtime friend Randy Jackson before choosing producer Jermaine Dupri instead. The album debuted earlier this year at the number three spot on the Billboard charts and moved 58,000 units in the first week, Carey’s lowest numbers for a new release ever.
