Back in November, Tashera Simmons told us that her estranged husband, Earl “DMX” Simmons, had basically dropped the ball as a father after their relationship fell apart. Not only has he failed to be there for his children physically, but the former “Starter Wives” star says that he hasn’t been helping to support them financially either.

“It’s the craziest thing, he was the best father when we were together. He took being a father very seriously. He was in every labor, he’s seen every last one of them come out. And I don’t know what happened… well, I know what happened– he said that I turned on him and it was because I didn’t let him do what he wanted to do,” Tashera told us.

“I wasn’t a yes man and I became the enemy. So it’s not a good relationship at all and it’s because he’s not in our children’s lives. He doesn’t help us financially at all. When I said it’s a wrap, he said, ‘Let me see how you’re going to be able to live with no money.’ And I thought he was playing but he was dead serious.”

Well, it doesn’t appear that DMX will be able to get away with not supporting his children for too much longer. According to TMZ, Tashera has recently received approval from a judge to begin garnishing the troubled rapper’s wages over unpaid child support. New York State income withholding documents reveal that Tashera will be racking in $15,000 per month from Earl’s Universal Music Publishing checks. $10,000 of the $15,000 has been marked for child support. The remaining $5,000 will go towards “other.” We have no idea what “other” is but we’re happy to see that Tashera is finally getting some help with her children.
