The former Detroit mayor, Kwame Kilpatrick who is serving time in jail on a probation violation will have to wait to on a decision to be sent to boot camp that will lower his sentence to 90 days.

Wayne County Circuit Jude David Groner, will decide Kilpatrick’s fate in whether he will gain access into the program after a series of hearings on his case that he had secret assets and had not paid $1 million in restitution to the city as apart of the plea agreement in the text message scandal where he was found guilty. Kilpatrick’s appellate lawyer Arnold Reed, is suggesting that the judge will not give the OK until Wednesday. Once he graduates from the boot camp, he must serve 18 months on parole with intensive supervision for the first 30 days.

His release date is scheduled for July 24, 2011.
