Last week we reported on rumors that have been circulating about a secret wedding between Jennifer Hudson and longtime fiancée, David Otunga. The whispers began after David showed up to his soon-to-be wife’s Hollywood Walk Of Fame ceremony donning what appeared to have been a wedding band. David recently responded to our report, insisting that no wedding has taken place yet.
The Black Nativity actress also put the rumors to rest during a recent interview with Hot 97’s Angie Martinez.
“That’s a secret I don’t know nothing about. The funny thing is people are like, ‘When are you getting married?’ then the next day, ‘You’re already married?’ Then, ‘How’s your husband?’ It’s like honey ya’ll have married us off anyway, so whats the difference?” Jennifer said.
As for the ring David was wearing, Jennifer explained that he wanted to wear an engagement ring as well.
“David is a little different, let me explain. He wanted to have an engagement ring too. I got him a ring for his birthday gift. He wanted to have his own ring.[He said] “Everyone knows you’re taken but no one knows I’m taken,” and so that’s where his ring came from,” said the “Think Like A Man” singer.
And there you have it, J-Hud and David Otunga are still engaged.
