Now Martin’s character Joel never actually encountered face-to-face or knife-to-body the Ghostface killer, but he kept it so real in this movie he had to be on this list. I mean, just look at this viral photo above. Joel represents how black people would react to horror situations in real life — as this was a movie within a movie. He refused to get gutted or slashed like Gail Weathers’ (Courtney Cox) previous cameraman, and he got the heck out of dodge and survived.
