Celebrities are constantly changing their hair from the style to the length to even the color, so it makes perfect sense for them to invest in the billion dollar industry that is hair. Hair extensions have become a beauty staple that women all over the world enjoy. It is a market that doesn’t have many women or African American leaders, but the tide is starting to change. Click through this list of 15 celebrities who have made waves in the hair extensions world.

Tami Roman

Tami Roman has stepped back into the weave game, this time around including her two daughters, Lyric and Jazz. The TR Collection specializes in three types of curly hair and Tami had this to say about her new venture, “Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with some really great hair companies (Glamluxe, Indique), in which I’ve learned a lot about what it takes to offer above grade quality hair. So, I’ve decided to try again with my own CURLY hair line called the TR Hair Collection.”

Tasha Marbury

Tasha Marbury’s new weave and extensions salon is open for business. The Celebrity Sew Ins extensions bar provides women with Glam Luxe hair, which is an industry favorite. The “Emperor of Hair” Elgin Charles collaborated with Tasha and trained her stylists on his signature technique for sew-ins. Celebrity Sew Ins is located in Brownsville in Brooklyn.





Elise Neal

Elise Neal collaborated with California Lace Wigs & Weaves on her Hollywood Belle Collection. Her line features three colors: Coco Brown, Honey Blonde and Ruby Red ranging from 12-16 inches in length. The collection uses 100% pure Malaysian Virgin Remy hair exclusively.


Beverly Johnson

The Beverly Johnson Luxurious Hair Collection is 100% human Virgin Remy Indian Temple Hair, which is high quality hair. She also has a line of wigs named after her, as well as ponytails.

Angela Simmons

Angela Simmons was the first celebrity spokesmodel for Indiqué Virgin Hair Extensions. She debuted the “Bikini” collection that featured wavy textured hair for summer. Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton’s Hair Extensions line didn’t get too far before she landed in legal troubles. She was set to promote clip-in strands through Dream Catchers Extensions, but was later sued for wearing a competitor’s extensions. By 2010, though, the brand had sued  her for $35 million.


Syleena Johnson

Syleena Johnson launched the True Diva Collection through Renown Premium Hair.
