It seems like celebrities are in a rush to do everything from growing up to walking down the aisle. So many celebs get married after dating for a couple months or a year, which is just crazy to us regular folks. However, its pretty standard practice among the young, rich and famous. Check out celeb couples that just couldn’t wait and how their marriage ended up.

Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian

After dating for just one month, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom walked down the aisle after meeting at a party in 2009. The couple has been going strong, but with reports of Lamar Odom’s drug abuse there may be trouble in paradise.

Tom Green and Drew Barrymore

After a year of dating Tom Green and Drew Barrymore exchanged vows, but the marriage lasted a a whopping 163 days. The July 2001 wedding was followed up with divorce papers by that December.

Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey

Remember MTV’s Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica show? Yes, back in 2003 the show aired the young couple’s first  year of marriage, which ended up in divorce by 2005. The cited “irreconcilable differences,” chances are they were just too young. The two have since moved on. Nick Lachey is now married to Vanessa Minnillo with a son and Jessica Simpson has two children with fiancée Eric Johnson.

Jennifer Lopez and Cris Judd

Jennifer Lopez clearly loves to get married, but the whole “through thick and thin” is not her thing. One of her marriages that didn’t last with then back-up dancer Cris Judd in September 2001 after meeting him on set of her “Love Don’t Cost A Thing” video. By June 2002 they were separated and divorced in January 2003.

 

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline

After three months of dating, Britney Spears was engaged to Kevin Federline and married in October 2004. The love rollercoaster was chronicled on the reality TV show Britney & Kevin: Chaotic. In 2005, Britney gave birth to her first son Sean Preston Federline and her second son Jayden James Federline in 2006. Due to “irreconcilable differences” the couple divorced in July 2007.

Usher Raymond and Tameka Foster

Usher mixed business with pleasure when he began dating personal stylist Tameka Foster in November 2005. They were engaged in October 2007 and married in August of that year. Tameka gave birth to their first son Usher “Cinco” Raymond V in November 2007 and second son, Naviyd Ely Raymond in December 2008. The two were divorced by November 2009.

 

 

Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds

Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds started dating in 2006 and were married on January 1, 2008, in a private ceremony near Bora Bora. Just two weeks later on January 16, 2008, the couple released a statement saying, “After much consideration and discussion, we have jointly decided that we will forgo having a legal ceremony as it is not necessary to define our relationship further,” and called the Bora Bora wedding a “symbolic union.”

 

Evelyn Lozada and Chad Ochocinco

Chad Ochocinco proposed to Evelyn Lozada after four months of dating in 2012. Their relationship was partly chronicled on VH1’s Basketball Wives: Miami  season four and the two were set to have their own spin-off show centered around their wedding. The lavish wedding took place and was taped for the Ev & Ocho reality show. The show never saw the light of day, due to a domestic violence incident between the couple two weeks after they were wed on July 4th, 2012. They were divorced September 2012.

Katy Perry and Russell Brand

Katy Perry and Russell Brand met at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards and became engaged in December 2009 while on vacation in India. They were married in a India on October 23, 2010 and after 14 months of marriage they filed for divorce on December 30, 2011 because of irreconcilable differences. The divorce was finalized in July 2012.

 

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries started dating November 2010 and were engaged by May 2011. After a three month engagement the two were wed in a lavish fairytale style wedding, which was aired on the reality TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashians. After just 72 days of marriage the Kim Kardashian files for divorce citing irreconcilable differences and were officially divorced April 2013.

Nicolas Cage and Lisa Marie Presley

Lisa Marie Presley has been married four times. After her divorce from Michael Jackson she was briefly married to Nicolas Cage. The two were married on August 10, 2002 in Hawaii. Cage filed for divorce after 108 days of marriage. They were officially divorced May 2004.
