She made her film debut at the age of five and two years later Barrymore was starring in Steven Spielberg’s classic 1982 film E.T. the Extra Terrestrial. At 9, Barrymore garnered international acclaim in Irreconcilable Differences, playing a young girl who ends up divorcing her parents. Being a young star in Hollywood took its toll on Barrymore’s real life. The Charlie’s Angles star entered rehab for the first time at just 14 years old.
